National Tourism Week – Enjoy a Scavenger Hunt Taking You Through Tishomingo Businesses!

Good morning Johnston County! May 6-12 is National Tourism Week and the Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Chickasaw Country, the Chickasaw Information Center and local Tishomingo businesses to host a scavenger hunt! There is a Chickasaw Country logo hidden in each of the participating businesses and when those hunting find the  logo, they have their form initialed and move on to the next location. Participants have the entire week to find the logo in each business and must turn in their form by May 12 at 2PM. The scavenger hunt is a week long so that participants can take their time and are able to look around when searching for the logo (no purchase is required at the businesses), rather than rushing and not getting a chance to ‘see’ the businesses. The prizes are based on a points system so that if you are only able to make it to a couple of businesses, you can enter for smaller prizes – the more businesses you attend, the more drawings and bigger the prizes. We hope that everyone has fun and enjoys this activity and visits our local merchants. We will have several prize baskets that contain items donated by the participating businesses, we are working on getting a bedre chocolate basket, and the grand prize is a package to the Artesian Resort & Casino – a night’s stay, a spa gift certificate, and dinner for two at The Springs! You can find entry forms at the participating businesses and at the Chickasaw Information Center (504 W. Main Street). With questions call Crystal Deaton, 580-387-2762, or Jordyn Frazier, 580-371-2175.

Happy hunting!
