With the warm weather being a bit more consistent and a lineup of events in the next few weeks, I wanted to take some time to list those for our readers. Get out the calendar!   • Saturday, March 23rd @ 9:00 a.m. – Tishomingo Parks & Trails Cleanup – Pennington Creek Park pavilion, all supplies provided. Bring friends and family!
  • Saturday, March 23rd, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Open House at new Mill Creek Community Center, refreshments available.
  • Tuesday, March 26th @ 12:00 p.m. – Women’s Biz Connection – Chickasaw Information Center, register in advance for $10, lunch is included.
  • March 28-30 – March Madness Basketball Tournament to benefit Tishomingo Parks and Recreation – register with Laura Wood by March 22nd.
  • March 28th @ 6:30 p.m. – Johnston County Veterans Public Meeting, Legion Hall
  • March 28th @ 6:00-8:00 p.m. – Chipota Chikashshanompoli (Children speaking Chickasaw language club), Chickasaw Community Center in Tishomingo
  • March 30th, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – TREES to host Refuge Cleanup. Supplies provided, meet at pavilion on South Refuge Road.
  • March 30th, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. – 2nd Annual Shoot Out Heart Disease Trap Shoot at MSC Firing Range. Contact Jami Hurst to register.
  • March 30th, 6:00 p.m. – Johnston County Chamber Annual Banquet – Tickets sold out
  • April 2nd, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Mercy Hospital offering free health care screenings at Ravia Church of God.

  • April 3rd, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Adult Mental Health First Aid Training – free and open to the public but space is limited.
