Red, White, and BOOM! ’22
The Johnston County Chamber of Commerce presents Red, White & BOOM! Celebration 2022 on Friday, July 1 and Saturday, July 2nd.
Festivities kick off at on Friday at 4:30 PM with a Ribbon Cutting at Tishomingo Ice House followed by the Vulcan Materials Company Fireworks Show at sundown (approx 9:15 p.m.) at the Tishomingo Football Field. Keep the party going by attending the RWB Street Dance with music by DJ Ryno hosted smack dab in the middle of downtown Tishomingo between Kemp and Neshoba Streets until midnight! We’ll have great music, Indian Tacos, drinks, and a Cornhole Tournament.
The fun continues on Saturday, July 2nd starting with the AmeriState Bank Independence Day Parade down main street from Tishomingo High School to Pennington Creek Park where there will be activities for the whole family.
Activities at Pennington Creek Park will include:
- The Tishomingo Chevrolet Lifted Truck & Car Show
- Xtreme Greenz Burnout Competition
- Water slides
- Volleyball
- Tug-O-War
- Watermelon and Hot Dog eating contests
- Apple Pie Baking Competition
- Turtle Races
- Bubble machines
- vendor booths
- food trucks
- the Little Miss & Mr Firecracker Contest.

Bring your lawn chairs, blanks, picnic baskets and enjoy the day. It will be hot and sunny to be sure to not forget the sunscreen. Hydration stations will be provided.
