Member Spotlight It’s Worth It Nutrition
This week’s Member Spotlight is on It’s Worth It Nutrition! Sara Ford and her husband, Jarred, opened the nutrition shop in August 2018 at 106 W. Main Street in Tishomingo, former location of the JCCC. It’s Worth It offers a wide selection of flavors for their nutritional shakes and teas, and services such as nutrition guides and assistance, workouts, weight management, and pre- and post-workout programs.
“We wanted to make a positive impact on the community, and we have a passion for nutrition, so we wanted to bring healthier options to Johnston County,” Ford said. “We want to create a family atmosphere where people feel safe and have a place to socialize. We love to make people smile, too. If you start the day off on a positive note, odds are the rest of your day will be amazing as well.”
The Fords also feel strongly about giving back to the community. All tips generated at the facility are donated to area schools and non-profit organizations. They support K-12 and MSC student activities and have been a member of the JCCC since their start over a year ago. “We also have an open-door policy meaning that if people feel they have nowhere to go, they can always come here for help,” Sara mentioned.
The owners are working on updating their store hours to better accommodate the community and are remodeling to better utilize their space. In the coming weeks you will begin seeing promotions for fit camps that will be held a few times each week, new menu items, and added involvement in the community, specifically related to health and nutrition.
