Parks Family Dental earns 10-star business review – Published in the April 26-May 2 edition of the JC Sentinel
This week’s Member Spotlight is on Parks Family Dental! The office, owned and operated by Justin and Tara Parks, opened in 2012. They have an average of 8 employees, plus interns in the summer. Parks Family Dental offers hygiene appointments, teeth restoration services, and does extractions, crown work, bridges, partials and dentures. Parks accepts most insurance, including Chickasaw and Choctaw coverage plans.
One review of the business, written by Julie Marquis, states, “Parks Family Dental deserves 10 stars. I had some work done today. Everyone made me feel so comfortable. They are so nice and really, truly care about their patients. I always[s] feel like a VIP every time I go. Thank you PFD, you rock!!” The business supports local schools and organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Parks was recently honored at the Annual Chamber Banquet as the 2017 Citizen of the Year.
Parks Family Dental is located at 1520 W. Main Street in Tishomingo and can be reached Tuesday through Friday 8:30 – 5:00 at 580-371-3900.

It seems to never slow down around here, but what fun it is! The County will be represented well this week in Hugo, Oklahoma at the Oklahoma Southeast Lt. Governor Turkey Hunt. The event, April 25 – 27, is an opportunity for communities to attract business and industry, make contacts, and network with those that can serve as a resource in the growth of our area. The Economic Development Committee of the Chamber and I will be present to promote Johnston County and all of the attractive qualities that we have to share. Thank you to Martin Marietta, MSC, Baker’s Mercantile, Sipokni West, and the JC Sentinel for your contributions to helping us succeed in this effort.
The Tishomingo City-Wide Yard Sale will be held on May 4th – 6th. Permits may be purchased for $5.00 per location at the Chamber office located in the Chickasaw Information Center. We will publish the addresses in the Johnston County Sentinel and through social media.
I also wanted to announce that the Johnston County Independence Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 30th this year. We had such a fantastic fireworks show last year and to get the same wonderful company to facilitate again requires this date to be scheduled. We hope you are excited and intend to participate or attend this year’s event.
Welcome to the Chamber – Johnston County Sentinel and the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative (OHAI)!
