Sooner Pharmacy’s service aided by new technologies – Published in the May 30-June 2 edition of the JC Sentinel

This week’s Member Spotlight is on Sooner Pharmacy! The current manager of the locale is Scotty Black, a Tishomingo High School alumnus, who took over after the retirement of Mike LaFevers in 2014. Since, the pharmacy has integrated new technologies for faster and more convenient service including the completed construction of the drive-through located on the north side of Sooner Foods in 2017.

Along with Scotty, Sooner Pharmacy employs Destiny Combs, Tarynn McMahan, Haley Ragle, and Emalee Matney as Pharmacy Technicians, and Cecilie Hinkle as Pharmacy Clerk.

The pharmacy offers a variety of services, several of which I was not aware of! Here is a complete list of the many ways in which they serve their customers: prescriptions/electronic prescriptions, over-the-counter products, vitamin/herbal supplements, automated 24/7 prescription refill, pet prescriptions, fast and free delivery inside Tishomingo city limits, medication reminders, Sync Prescription Programs, text alerts, mobile app, Auto Refill Program, insurance plans and work comp prescriptions, drive-through convenience, billing to Medicare Part B for nebulizers, diabetic testing supplies, and breathing solutions, and transfer of prescriptions with a quick phone call. They want to go above and beyond for you!

Sooner Pharmacy is a proud Bronze member of the Johnston County Chamber of Commerce and has been for many years. They also support the Healthy Living with Diabetes Conference, Stevy’s Run, Southern Oklahoma Alzheimer’s/Dementia Support Group, Tishomingo Athletic Booster Club, Tishomingo Lions Club, the Blue River Trout Derbies, Annual Alfalfa Bill Century Bicycle Ride, Johnston County Junior Livestock Association, Johnston County EMS, and Reaching Out. Incredible!

Looking to the future, Sooner Pharmacy plans to offer immunizations, compounding, and an expanded variety of diabetic supplies. Show this business your support by visiting them at 101 S. Byrd Street in Tishomingo, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Next Spotlight: The Gospel Station!
