Member Spotlight Wild Horse Cabin in Tishomingo

This week’s Member Spotlight is on Wild Horse Cabin in Tishomingo! The cabin is owned by Doris Row and managed by her daughter, Tina Cain. It sits 9-miles north of Tishomingo on the east side of Highway 377 on Row Ranch. The cabin started out as a 2-car garage with a tiny, one-bedroom apartment with a kitchenette, which was perfect for a ranch-hand who worked cattle during the day. In 1995, it received renovations that included transforming the space into a large one-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and bath. It was again renovated in 2015 to be a full-time rental.

Constant requests came in for weekend rentals in the Tishomingo area and Wild Horse Cabin answered the call. It has housed guests from Montana, South Dakota, Missouri, and Texas. Many of these guests have been deer hunters or fishermen that came in the winter months as tourist season slowed in the area.

The cabin rents for $150 per night with multiple-night discounts available. It has a queen-size and twin bed, a full-size sleeper sofa, full bath, and full kitchen. Guests will enjoy the rural setting, wide-open spaces, and rocking chairs on the front porch which are great for watching the wild horses roam about.

For more information, contact Tina Cain at 580-920-6091 or email cainhorses@hotmail.com. Spread the word, there is lodging in Tishomingo, OK!
